Dear parent/carer,

On behalf of the staff and as Langdale's Headteacher may I extend to you a very warm welcome to Langdale School.

We are a small and caring school with an ethos very much based on family values and on achieving success together. Langdale is at the heart of its local community and works in close partnership with parents as we recognise and value the vital importance of a positive and mutually supportive link between school and home.

We aim to prvide a happy, caring ,safe and stimulating learning environment where positive attitudes are fostered and where your child will develop his or her full potential. Langdale school strives for excellence, values and achievement, through high quality teaching and learning and within a creative and dynamic learning environment. Pupil progress is carefully monitored. Every child is treated as an individual and the needs of everyone are considered. Our children are encouraged to respect each other in a caring environment.

Confidence in a school comes from knowing and understanding what is happening. We welcome your involvement in all aspects of school life. Your help and support plays a vital part in the education of your child. We are always happy to talk to you about your child's achievements and progress. Regular letters and our school website will keep you up to date with school activities.
