Langdale is applying for Free School status from September 2013.
By converting to a Free School, Langdale will make available to the whole community the high and increasing quality of primary education for which it has long been known. It will bring the high standards, ethos and aspirations – so commonplace in the independent sector – to children that do not currently have access to first class education.

The Langdale website is full of information about what we do and how we do it – and we hope that you enjoy finding out about our school as you click through the various pages. Before you get started on the details, however, here’s a brief summary to whet your appetite:
Langdale Independent Nursery and Preparatory School provides a happy, secure and caring learning environment for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 11 years old. Established last century, the school was founded to meet the specific needs of Blackpool. Today it continues to offer educational excellence that is relevant to the demands and needs of the current climate.
Located in Warbreck Drive in Bispham, the school is easily accessible from all parts of Blackpool, Thornton, Cleveleys and Fleetwood.
The primary aim of the School is to give a wide and interesting education that enables pupils to achieve personal success. Pupils are monitored individually and this enables staff to find and develop each child’s natural talents. The classes are small and the staff/pupil ratio is particularly generous.
All children are assured individual attention in mathematics, reading, writing, literature and language development. Pupils also study Music, Art, French, Current Affairs, Computing, Geography, History and Science. Parent-Teacher conferences take place in the Autumn and Spring terms and an end-of-year written report provides a formal summary of each child’s achievements. Annual prizes and certificates are presented at the School’s Summer Prize Day.
